Investigations were made of electrons moving in constant and weakly longitudinally medulated magnetic fields. With a definite "resonance" relationship between the electron velocity, the magnitude of the magnetic field, and the period of spatial modulation, the magnetic electron moment is not conserved and the energy is redistributed between the longitudinal and transverse component of the motion.
