By daily irradiation of part of the abdominal skin for 6 days, red and white cell counts increased with exposures to 300, 100, and 600 r daily in that order of effect. When the daily dose was as high as 1000 r, both cell counts increased during irradiation, but they decreased after irradiation, Hemoglobin increased at first but decreased later with daily irradiations of 100, 300, and 600 r, but it decreased from the beginning with daily irradiations of 1000 r. The pseudo-eosinophil count increased temporarily in all cases. It fluctuated later with daily irradiations of third day of daily irradiations of 1000 r. The lymphocyte count increased with daily irradiations of 300 r, less so with daily irradiations of 100 r and only slightly so with daily irradiations of 600 r. It decreased markedly with daily irradiations of 1000 r. The average nuclear count showed no marked change with daily irradiations of 100 r, but a slight shift to the right was observed with daily irradiations of 300 and 600 r, and a tendency to shift to the left with daily irradiations of 100 r.
