X-RAY MASS ATTENUATION COEFFICIENTS IN THE RANGE OF 50 TO 150 KVP

Journal Article · · Nondestructive Testing
OSTI ID:4768944
Measurements were made of the x-ray absorption coefficients of specific alloys as a function of energy from 40 to 130 kev. The alloys investigated were types 304 and 347 stainless steel, 1100 aluminum, Zircaloy-2, and enriched U- Al alloys. The experimental results were compared with calculated data; the deviations were found to be small except for the U - Al alloys. (D.L.C.)
