NUCLEAR G-FACTOR OF THE 113 kev ROTATIONAL STATE IN THE ODD A NUCLEUS Hf$sup 17$$sup 7$

The shift of the 208 kev- 113 kev angular correlation in Hf/sup 117/ is measured in external magnetic fields of 53,100 and 29,200 gauss. With a half- life of (0.52 plus or minus 0.02) nsec for the 115-kev state this shift leads to a g-factor of +0.232 plus or minus 0.013. An investigation of the internal perturbation by varying the viscosity of the source yields that the perturbation, if present, is smaller than 2%. The result is discussed in terms of the unified model. (auth)
