ANALYSIS OF THE ABSORPTION SPECTRUM OF IBr. II. ROTATIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE RED BANDS

A rotational analysis of the IBr red absorption band system is given. The system is found to be associated with a /sup 3/II/sub 0/ + yields /sup 1/ SIGMA /sup +/ transition. Ten bands are analyzed. The numbering of the upper state levels is performed using the isotope shift determined from the rotational structure. An attempt to determine the vibrational constants with the help of the isotope shift is discussed. (auth)
