EXPERIMENTAL PRINCIPLES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WASTE TREATMENT PLANT AT THE HOT LABORATORY OF THE EIR IN WURENLIGEN (in German)

Journal Article · · Neue Technik See NT, Neue Tech.
OSTI ID:4765214

Laboratory scale tests for the design of the treatment plant for low activity waste at the EIR are described. The conditions for the precipitation of calcium phosphate-ferric hydroxide flocs were investigated in detail, and decontamination factors are given. Methods for the filtration and drying of the precipitates were tested. Experiments with vermiculite ion-exchangers of different origin showed good results if the mineral is used in combination with the floc treatment. (auth)
