Effects of Delayed Neutrons on the Shape of the Distribution Curve of the Reactor; EINFLUSS DER VERZOGERTEN NEUTRONEN AUF DIE FORM DER REAKTOR- ORTSKURVEN

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4764620

If the distribution curves of water-boiler reactors are calculated using differential equations, they describe its kinetic behavior so that the frequency omega approximately 5 at a characteristic point can be found. It iliustrates the supposition that the coordinates of this singular point'' depend somewhat on reactor size. If the dependence of the coordinates on the size were ascertainable as a parameter in a simple way, this characteristic point could be used for control deterraination for this reactor size. A study was made, for the simple case of a bare reactor, of the influence of 1, 2, and 8 groups of delayed neutrons on the form of the distribution curve. ( tr-auth)
