The analog reactor simulator is used to analyze the dynamic characteristics of a reference reactor which is assumed to have heat removal characteristics of constant power removal for both cases of Pu recycle and non-Pu tecycle. The Pu recycled reactor which has the shorter effective neutron life time and the smaller effective delayed neutron fraction reaches a higher maximum power than that of the non-plutonium recycled reactor during the stable power excursion. However, the maximum temperature rise of the reactor materials does not much differ between the cases. Judging the dynamic characteristics of the reactor from the point of view of the maximum temperature of the reactor materials, the Pu recycled reactor has no less favorable character than the non- Pu recycled reactor despite of its higher maximum power rise.
