A double-lens BETA spectrometer was used in coincidence studies of conversion electrons produced in Lu/sup 174*/ (T/sub 1/2/ approximates 165 day) decay. The Lu/sup 174*/ source, prepared by Ta + p reaction at 660 Mev, contained small amounts of Li/sup 173/. The conversion electron spectra of Lu/ sup 174*/ and Lu/sup 173/ at 20 to 100 kev were constructed. The Lu/sup 174*/ decay scheme at 170.8 kev is in agreement with previously suggested schemes, and coincidences between electrons from 44.6, 59.1, and 67.1 kev transitions confirm the presence of three-cascade transitions.
