Progress is reported in studies on the effects of age and previous radiation exposure on the subsequent radiation sensitivity and recovery rate in mice. Preliminary results are presented from studies of sex and strain differences in radioinduced life shortening and physiological processes that correlate with longevity in 23 inbred strains of mice.
