Use of Guard-Ring Silicon Surface-Barrier Detectors in Beta Spectrometry

Conversion-electron spectra of Bi/sup 207/ and Cs/sup 137/ obtained using guard-ring Si surface-barrier detectors, operating with bins voltages of 1.0 to 1.8 kv, are shown to demonstrate the performance of these detectors in beta spectrometry. (T.F.H.)
