Neutron Flux Measurements in the FRJ-1 MERLIN at Powers from 0 to 40 Watts; NEUTRONENFLUSSMESSUNGEN AM FRJ-1 MERLIN BEI LEISTUNGEN VON 0-40 WATT

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4756497

In the first startup phase of the FRJ-1 (Merlin) the relative thermal and epithermal neutron flux distributions were measured with the help of gold probes at outputs between 0 and 40 watt. The absolute flux at a monltor position was determined with manganese foils calibrated in England. The reactor parameters were derived from the flux distribution. Distributions of the thermal and fast neutron fluxes were measured with scintillation and proton-recoil counters and the gamma dose with an ionization chamber. (tr-auth)
