IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS FOR SCINTILLATION COUNTING

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4753835
A device is designed for producing fast electrical impulses coincident with the arrival of a particle or ray at a detector. The device comprises a photomultiplier tube whose cathode is connected to receive the output of the detector, and a tunnel diode connected to act at least as a part of the anode load. Means is provided for varying the bias current of the tunnel diode in order to vary its discrimination level. (D.L.C.)
