Magnetic disturbance from a high-altitude nuclear explosion

Journal Article · · Journal of Geophysical Research (U.S.)
A few seconds after the reported time of a nuclear explosion over Johnston Island on July 9, 1962, a magnetic disturbance was recorded on two magnetometers at Ottawa. Records of the magnetometers are shown along with an estimate of the magnetic field during the disturbance.
