ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF CARBON IN URANIUM METAL

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4749824
Uranium metal, in the form of swarf or powder, is ignited at 950 deg C in an oxygen stream. Carbon dioxide evolved is isolated by means of a cold trap cooled in liquid oxygen and measured, after expansion at room temperature, as a gas volume. (auth)
