The features of the main types of filter used for measuring the artificial radioactivity of atmospheric aerosols are discussed and the important aspects of this method of measurement are examined, these being; daily volume of air to be filtered, decay coefficient, and autoradiographic tests. Certain data are provided regarding the timing of nuclear explosions. (auth)
