THE MULTIPOLARITIES OF THE 208 AND 532 kev $gamma$-TRANSITIONS IN Er$sup 16$$sup 7$ (in Russian)
A thulium fraction was isolated from a Ta target irradiated with 680-Mev protons. The conversion electron spectrum of Tm/sup 167/ was studied on a double- focusing BETA spec trometer in order to determine the L/sub I/-, L/sub II/-, and L/sub III/- conversion lines for the 208 and 532-kev gamma transitions. A comparison of the experimental ratio L/sub I/: L/sub II/: L/sub III/ = 0.16: 1:. 0.62 with the theoretical ratio showed that the 208-kev transition is an isomeric E3 type. The K, L, and M conversion electron lines were measured for the 532-kev transition. An analysis of the data shows that the 532-kev gamma transition has an E1 or E2 multipolarity with a small admixture of M2 and M1 respectively. (TTT)
