ON THE DECAY OF $sup 153$Gd

Journal Article · · Physica
The electron capture decay of Gd/sup 153/ (236d) has been studied with NaI scintillators and various proportional counters. Intensiti es of the gamma and K-X radiation of and 173 kev in Eu/sup 153/ are given. The total transition energy was found to be 242 plus or minus 3 kev with the help of a measurement of the K-capture fractions by the coincidence method. Intensities of the electron capture branches were obtained. (auth)
