SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF THORIUM USING CHRYSIN

Journal Article · · Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Sect. A
OSTI ID:4739576

Easily prepared chrysin forms a yellow colored complex with thorium. The spectrum of the complex shows absorption at 380 m mu at pH 2.8. Also at pH 2.8, the complex obeys Beer-Lambert's law with a thorium concertration between 2 and 36 ppm; and the complex has 1 : 1 molar composition. (D.C.W.)
