PROMETHIUM 147 HYPERFINE STRUCTURE UNDER HIGH RESOLUTION

The hyperfine structure of Pm/sup 147/ was investigated with Fabry-Perot interferometers. Well-resolved patterns of about 800 lines were obtained. The results confirm the previous spectroscopic determination of the nuclear spin, but show that the previous value of the nuclear magnetic moment as derived from spectroscopic data cannot be considered meaningful.
