ANHARMONIC EFFECTS OF QUADRUPOLE OSCILLATIONS OF SPHERICAL NUCLEI

Deviations from the principal harmonic'' approximation are considered in the framework of the microscopic theory of the collective excitations of spherical even nuclei. It is shown that the anharmonic'' corrections are expressed through one parameter in the first approximation with respect to the parameter of adiabaticity. The corrections to the wave functions, energy levels and the E2 transition probabilities for the first two excited states are found in this approximation. Second order corrections are also obtained. The interaction of collective oscillations with other excitations (non-adiabaticity) is estimated. The excitations of the nuclei connected with the quadrupole oscillations of the outer neutrons with respect to the protons are considered. (auth)
