ERICSON FLUCTUATIONS IN THE Si$sup 28$(n,$alpha$)Mg$sup 25$ REACTION
The Si/sup 28/(n, alpha )Mg/sup 25/ reaction is studied in the energy interval from 12.15 to 18.4 Mev. Measurements of the cross section for the transition to the first excited states of the residual nucleus have been obtained through detecting the energy spectra of the products of the reaction at intervals of 50 kev--15 Mev, 100 kev--17 Mev, and 150 kev--18.4 Mev. The characteristic fluctuations of the cross sections are discussed. (H.D.R.)
