LEVELS IN W$sup 184$ POPULATED IN THE DECAY OF Re$sup 18$$sup 4$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B

The decay of 35 d Re/sup 184/ was studied by means of a six gap beta ray spectrometer and scintillation spectrometers including electron-gamma and gamma- gamma coincidence techniques. Relative intensities of all transitions between the gamma-vibrational band and the ground state rotational band in W/sup 184/ indicate a mixing factor z = 0.052. Two levels (at 1157 kev and 1226 kev) are observed above the gammavibrational band. Uncertainties still exist as to the character of these states. (auth)
