Results of a detailed study of the 27 d decay of Pa/sup 233/ are presented. A six gap and a single gap beta ray spectrometer were used for measurements of the internal conversion electron spectrum, the beta ray spectrum and of electrongamma coincidences. Beta transitions with end-point energies of 578 ction in DDT-C/ 10 kev (12%), 254 ction in DDT-C/ 5 kev (56%), and 154 ction in DDT-C/ 5 kev (32%) are found. The intensities differ slightly from the intensities found by others. The shape and the corresponding log ft value of the high energy transition agree with the assumption of a first forbidden, hindered transition ( DELTA I = 1, DELTA K = 2). A K conversion coefficient equal to 0.69 ction in DDT-C/ 0.07 was determined for the 312 kev magnetic dipole transition by repeated measurements of electron-gamma coincidences. The gyromagnetic ratios g/sub OMEGA and g/sub R/ for the ground state of U/sup 233/ are calculated from the mixing ratio of the 40 kev transition and these values are compared with results reported by other authors.
