THE HEAT OF SOLUTION OF HYDROGEN CHLORIDE

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4726355

The heat of solution of hydrogen chloride was determined. The HCl was prepared by reaction of NaCl with H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ and purified by passage over finely divided uranium prepared by decomposition of UH/sub 3/. The average value obtained from 5 runs was --17.888 plus or minus 0.014 kcal mole/sup -1/. (M.C.G.)
