A TEST PROCEDURE FOR EVALUATING RESPIRATORY PROTECTIVE DEVICES

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4724057
devices is preserted. The test includes measurements of overall leakage through accessories on the devices, such as valves, lenses, and speaking diaphrams; and by means of an inadequate facepiece seal. Also points where leakage occurs may be pinpointed. Results obtained together with canister penetration data permit an assessment of the overall protection afforded. Thus, information is obtained that enables an optimum choice of respiratory protective equipment and indicates its proper use. (auth)
