Economic development efforts of a public utility are summarized. Development was focused primarily in the area of competition, and to a lesser extent on attracting new customers. A package of incentive rates and an economic development fund awards were used. Some of the economic data related to these measures is tabulated. From 1994 to the end of the first quarter of 1995, the utility has realized $897,000 in new electric revenues due to economic development and interruptible service provision.
