The process of intramolecular energy transfer was studied on the basis of tritium recoil reactions with alkylbenzenes (ethylbenzene, n-butylbenzene, tri- butylbenzene, and di-butylbenzene). Radiochromatographic analysis was made of LiC specimens irradiated (for 30 min) in a reactor by slow 5 x 10/sup 12/ neutron/ cm/sup 2/ sec. The activity of Li/sup 6/(n, alpha )T recoil atoms was compared to the activity of benzene with assigned magnitude of 100. The results are tabulated. (R.V.J.)
