Countercurrent electromigration experiments in fused LiNO/sub 3/-- KNO/ sub 3/ and LiNO/sub 3/-- NaNO/sub 3/ mixtures have shown that the separation of lithium isotopes is normally made following an exponential form. But, contrary to what the difference of mobility of the ions Li/sup +/ and K/sup +/ or Li/sup +/ and Na/sup +/ would predict, the ratios LiNO/sub 3/-- KNO/sub 3/ or LiNO/sub 3// NaNO/sub 3/ vary slightly and attain a plateau.
