THE DECAY OF Lu$sup 17$$sup 9$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
Sources of Lu/sup 179/ were prepared by the photo-proton reaction in isotopically enriched Hf/sup 180/. A value of 4.59 ction in DDT-C/ 0.06 h was found for the half life. Two beta branches were observed; 87 ction in DDT-C/ 3% of the decays go by a 1.35 ction in DDT-C/ 0.07 Mev beta ray to the ground state of Hf/sup 179/; 13 ction in DDT-C/ 3% go by a 1.08 ction in DDT-C/ 0.07 Mev beta ray to the 217 kev level in Hf/sup 179/.
