0. Ouchterlony's method was used in the determination of the antigenic properties of liver proteins during radiation sickness. All the soluble protein extracts of the liver of the rat and the proteins of the individual micromorphological components of the cytoplasm after an exposure to 650 r of ionizing radiation at a dose rate of 122 r/min, were investigated. Rabbit sera were used for establishing individual differences in the antigen content. The rabbits were immunized with liver protein extracts of healthy and irradiated rats. The most characteristic radiation-induced changes in the antigen spectrum consisted in the weakening of one group of antigen accompanied with the enhancement of other groups. The proteins exhibiting the greatest amount of changes presented a great mobility in the agar gel. (TTT)
