STUDY OF THE WHITE STARS PRODUCED BY THE INTERACTIONS OF 27-Bev PROTONS IN A NUCLEAR EMULSION (in French)
The interactions of the proton beam from the CERN synchrotron with the nuclei of the emulsion of the Ilford G5 plate at an energy of 27 Bev were studied. The theoretical and experimental results in the realm of high-energy nuclear reactions acquired previously are reviewed. The results of a preliminary study on the definition of the mean free path of protons in the emulsion and of the inelastic cross section of nucleon-nucleon interactions are reported. Nucleon- nucleon events involving oniy angle measurements are studied. The techniques used for the measurements of multiple scattering and ionization are reported. Then the results obtained from an angular and energy study of the secondary particles of proton-nucleon interactions are given. (tr-auth)
