INTERNAL CONVERSION WITH PAIR FORMATION DURING THE DECAY OF Br$sup 8$$sup 2$ (in Russian)
on an Al foil 5 thick for counting on a spectrometer having an efficiency of 1.2% of 4 ceramic materia , and a resolution of ontrol migra- 1.2%. The 10 min activity due to Mg/sup 27/ was allowed to decay out before counting the 35.9 hr activity of Br/sup 82/. The positron spectrum clearly shows the 1313- and 1478-kev transitions. On comparing areas under the positron and electron spectra, it was found that the intensity of positron emission was 2.16 x 10/sup -5/ positrons per disintegration. The multipolarities of the transitions were determined by comparing the positron spectra with the corresponding internal conversion electron lines for the K-shell. It was found that the 1313- and 1478- kev transitions were transitions of the type E2 or M1. (TTT)
