No positive relation between radiation processing and wholesomeness of foods was found in rats maintained on a diet containing irradiated pork, peaches, carrots, jam, or flour. Gross observations and microscopic analysis was done on all tissues that showed lesions. Pathological conditions in rats associated with age and tumors in experimental and control rats are described.
