NUCLEAR POWER PLANT WITH TWO SEPARATE PRIMARY CIRCUITS
The described nuclear power plant features a nuclear reactor with two separately operated closed primary circuits for extracting the heat generated in the core and transferring it via heat exchangers to a secondary circuit with a turbine system. The two primary circuits contain different coolant media and have two different working temperatures. The primary coolant medium in the circuit with the lower outlet temperature gives up its heat in an evaporator where steam is raised in the secondary circuit, and the coolant medium flowing through the other primary circuit is for superheating the steam raised by said first primary coolant. For gaining higher efficiency and for lowering the temperature in the core, the coolant medium with the higher outlet temperature, after leaving the superheater heat exchanger, passes through an auxiliary heat exchanger in which additional steam is raised in the secondary circuit.
