SPECTROGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF ALUMINIUM OF HIGH PURITY (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zh. Analit. Khim.
OSTI ID:4699401

A method is suggested for the direct simultaneous determination of 34 elements (B, P, Zn, Cd, Sb, Be, As, Co, W, Si, Mn, Fe, Mg, Pb, Ga, Ni, Bi, V, Mo, Sn, Ti, Cu, In, Ag, Pt, Pd, Ca, Cr, Ba, Tl, Na, K, Li, Rb) in aluminium oxide by means of fractionai distillation from carbon electrodes into a d-c arc at 7 to 12 amp. The spectra are recorded on spectrographs. The sensitivity of the determination is 3 x 10/sup -5/ to 3 x 10/sup -2/% and reproducibility is of 10 to 20%. A study was also made of the effect of the density of the Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ powder on mixing during the preparation of standards. (auth)
