THE Sm$sup 150$ NUCLEAR LEVELS EXCITED IN AN (n,$gamma$) REACTION (in Russian)

                        The energies and intensities of Sm/sup 150/ were determined after irradiating a 72 gram sample of Sm/sub 2/O/sub 3/ (natural mixture of isotopes) with thermal neutrons. The rays carry off ontrol migra- 21% of the total energy given off during neutron capture. The internal electron conversion spectrum was determined on a magnetic spectrometer (resolution of 0.6%) with the use of an enriched Sm/sub 2/O/sub 3/ sample containing 94.6% Sm/sup 149/. Values of the internal conversion coefficient alpha /sub K/ were calculated from the intensities with respect to the theoretical value for the 439-kev transition (an E2 transition).
