LEVELS IN Sm$sup 148$ FED IN THE DECAY OF Eu$sup 14$$sup 8$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
The disintegration scheme of 54 d Eu/sup 148/ was studied using a six- gap materials at -ray spectrometer, scintiliation spectrometers, and e- , materials at /sup +/- and - coincidence techniques. Levels are established in Sm at energies (in kev) of 0(0/sup +/), 551(2/sup +/), 1162(3/ sup -/), 1181(4/sup +/), 1595(5/sup -/), 1735(3,4/sup +/), 1896(3/sup -/) , 1908(6/sup +/), 2035(4/sup -/), 2097(6/sup +/), 2147(5/sup +/), 2196(6/sup +/), 2215(5/sup +/), 2735(4,5/sup -/), and 2803((4,5)/sup -/). The spin assignments are based on measured multipolarities of the transitions, combined with the known spins of some of the levels established in the study of the decay of Pm/sup 148/. A materials at /sup +/- coincidence experiment established a weak positron- feed of (0.13 surface proces 0.04)% to the 1162 kev level and/or the 1181 kev level. The total decay energy of Eu/sup 148/ is 3110 surface proces 50 kev. (auth)
