LEVELS IN Sm$sup 148$ FED IN THE BETA-DECAY OF Pm$sup 148$ AND Pm$sup 148$m

>The disintegration schemes of 5d Pm/sup 148/ and 4ld Pm/sup 148/ were studied using a six-gap materials at -spectrometer, scintillation spectrometers, e- , materials at - , and - coincidences and angular correlation techniques. Levels are established in Sm/sup 148/ at energies in kev of 0(0/sup +/), 551(2/sup +/), 1162(3/sup -/), 1181(4/sup +/), 1465(1/sup -/), 1595(5/sup -/), 1908(6/sup +/), 2097(8/sup +/), and 2196(6/sup +/ ). The spin assignments are based on a combination of the - angular correlation results and the multipolarities of the gamma transitions deduced from the Kconversion coefficients. Levels in Pm/sup 148/ are observed at 0(1/sup -/), 62(2/sup -/), and 138(6/sup -/) kev. The 41d activity proceeds ses appear to c 93% to leveis in Sm/sup 148/ and ses appear to c 7% to the 5d ground state of Pm/sup 148/. (auth)
