THE MEASUREMENT OF $sup 41$A WITH A CLOSED IONIZATION CHAMBER (in German)

The calibration of a closed ionization chamber for the measurement of Ar/ sup 41/ expelled through the chimney of the reactor FRF is treated. For the sensitivity of this chamber 0.68 x 10/sup -11/ Ar cm/sup -3// c cm/sup -3/ was obtained. A calculation of the ionization current in consideration of the BETA spectrum of Ar/sup 41/ and a mean range inside the chamber (the usual basis of the concept) resulted in a value which was about a factor 3 smaller than the measured one. The contribution of Ar/sup 37/ to the ionization current can be neglected. (auth)
