THE COLORIMETRIC DETERMINATION OF THORIUM IN URANIUM COMPOUNDS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4693373
A method for the determination of thorium in uranium compounds was developed. The uranium is separated by adsorption on an anion exchange resin from 7M hydrochloric acid. Thorium is determined in the effluent by developing and measuring the color of the thorium complex with Arsenazo. One microgram of thorium per gram of uranium can be detected; in determining 100 mu g, the limit of error is 3.7%. (auth)
