IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO PRESSURE TUBE REACTORS

The pressure tubes of a nuclear reactor disposed in a series of parallel planes are grouped into different sets of parallel tubes that are disposed in a series of parallel planes so that the tubes of the same set occupy at most two adjacent planes. The tubes of adjacent groups form between them an angle sufficient to ensure that the tubes of different groups pass through the wall of the reactor container at different zones of it where the coolant headers for the tubes are disposed. In this way there is more place for the header construction than in the usual disposition of the pressure tubes. (IIB)
