A tube system for removing the heat from nuclear reactors is described which is provided with header means for distributing fluid coolant medium to or receiving fluid medium from the tubes disposed within the core. Outside the reactor core but next to the core the tubes are covered on the inside with insulation against loss of heat and are provided with means for cooling the outside. (Gmelin Inst.)
