THE LIFETIMES OF THE FIRST EXCITED STATES OF Re$sup 185$ AND Re$sup 18$$sup 7$

Lifetimes of the first excited states of Re/sup 185/ and Re/sup 187/ were measured with the microwave method. From the slopes of the delayed curves a mean life of 1.45 x 10/sup -11/ sec was found for the 134-kev level of Re/sup 187/ and an upper Iimit of 1.2 x 10/sup -11/ sec could be determined for the 125kev level in Re/sup 185/.
