ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY AT LOW CONCENTRATIONS. Annual Report No. 7

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4656562
The conditions for the amperometric titration of low concentrations of nitrite with sulfamic acid or with cerium(IV) were worked out. Considerable data were obtained on the solubilities of mercuric chloride and lithium chloride by ethylenediamine-water systems. Some of the properties of the mercury---X saturated mercuric chloride and lithium chloride in ethylenediamine--- reference electrode were investigated. Studies of the synthesis, polarography, and uses in amperometric titration of certain 2,8-disubstituted quinoline compounds were continued. Exploration work on photometric titrations in nonaqueous solvents other than acetic acid, the amperometric titration of low concentrations of ferric iron with mercurous compounds, and on biamperometric titrations at amalgam electrodes, is reported.
