A device for treating fluids, especially radioactive ones, is patented. The device consists of an external bowl with fluid inlet and outlet apertures and a removable inner enclosure containing the means for treating the fluid. A sliding shutter blocks the opening into the inner enclosure when the enclosure is being removed. The enclosure gives radiological protection and can be used for filtering fluids under pressure. Elements for treating the fluids can be easily changed with radiological protection without dismantling the outer pressure- resistant bowl, to which the inlet and outlet pipes are welded. (M.P.G.)
