Energy determination from the angular distribution of the secondary shower particles

Journal Article · · Nuovo Cimento
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1007/BF02750032· OSTI ID:4639272
Nuclear interactions induced by 4.5-Bev pi - mesons, 6-Bev protons, and 17-Bev pi - mesons in emulsions were analyzed to test at these energies the methods of energy determination used with high-energy cosmic- ray interactions. Variation of the estimated energy with n/sub s/ the number of shower particles and N/sub h/ the number of evaporation prongs was investigated.
