EXPERIMENT IN INTERNAL DOSIMETRY WITH THE HELP OF THE THERMOLUMINESCENCE METHOD AFTER INCORPORATION OF Sr$sup 90$ IN RATS (in German)

Journal Article · · Strahlentherapie (West Germany)
OSTI ID:4631604

The use of the thermoluminescence method for dose measurements after Sr/ sup 90/-incorporation was tested in a biological experiment using rats. There is a linear relation between the administered Sr/sup 90/-dose and the radiation dose measured in the abdomen of the rat with a CaF/sub 2/dosimeter. The absolute dosage was determined by means of a calibration instrument for the experimental conditions. The results are discussed and continuation of the experiments with an improved dosimeter and evaluation instrument is announced. (auth)
