In proceedings of the first International conference on stable isotopes in chemistry, biology, and medicine. An overall survey of the present status of carbon-13 was made. Current production is briefly reviewed and a summary of available labeled compounds from commercial sources is presented. Reported work on carbon-13 over recent years was surveyed. This showed that much of the work was on NMR studies. Considerable nuclear energy level and reaction studies were also made. (auth)
