Stable isotope distributions by NMR zeugmatography

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4427183
From 1st international conference on stable isotopes in chemistry, biology, and medicine; Argonne, Illinois, USA (9 May 1973). In proceedings of the first international conference on stable isotopes in chemistry, biology, and medicine. Examples of the use of NMR zeugmatographic techniques to detect isotopic hydrogen exchange processes in complex systems have been given. Applications to the study of hydrogen- deuterium exchange processes and isotopic distributions in biological objects seem possible, and other isotopes may also be used in the same way. Microscopic and macroscopic objects may bc investigated, and one-, two-, and three-dimensional images may be generated. Although experimental details will differ, similar experiments may be done with solids. (auth)
